Erin's Birthday
WOW! Our little baby is now 1! I still can't believe it's been a whole year. Time has just flown by. We had a small party today with mostly family and Erin had a ball playing with the bubbles; on the fort with the big kids and running around the back yard with her cousins!
Being the good mother I am... LOL... I made the cake and organised all the nibbles. When flicking through the Women's Weekly mag a few weeks ago, the fairy house cake caught my eye... DS agreed that we just had to make that one... so here it is... after an hour or so I spent decorating it...
and here's our beautiful princess Erin...
Now I'm off to have a soak.... and hit the sac...

Cherish
I can hardly believe our little girl is turning 1 on Saturday! To celebrate, I have created this canvas for her room!
Mind you, it's been in progress for about 6mths. I inked the canvas with Brilliance ink and lightened it in the centre by applying white paint while the ink was still slightly wet. I love the effect, although you can see it better in real life.

More cards
Motivated by the card swap at Scrap Pile I finally got a chance to get some more cards made. I loved working with the Pizzazzil cardstock. I just inked and chalked around the edges and added a few ribbons, flowers and stamped a few stamps. I've just ordered a whole heap more of the Pizzazzil from Scrap Pile so I can have a play with some different colours! Instant beauty for card making! I guess you could try and make your own using versamark ink and some swirl stamps, chalking over the top with a darker colour. I'll have to go and have a play now so I can see the difference in effect! BBS!

One of my fav photos of Aiden
I made this page for Scrap Pile, and used one of our favourite photos of Aiden. The LO literally fell together, which I think was helped by the fact that there were such yummy products in my pack!
I love the photo because Aiden just looks so innocent and wide-eyed, open to the world around him. The photo was taken in January this year and we were all out in the back yard checking out some spiders that had decided to build a web from the clothesline to a palm. Man was it a huge spider...
I think it was a St Andrews Cross spider, but if anyone knows any different, please feel free to let me know!
Here are some of the out-takes... might have to create a page just for these I think! Aiden is pointing to the spider in this one with Al, Ralphy & Erin in the background!
I love this photo of Aiden too, looking straight into the camera!! Very inquisitive our little boy!

My favourite card
I created this card with some scraps from the Scrap Pile DT kit this month.
I'm loving this colour combo and the gems really liven it up! Will definitely be using this combo again! I love this months Scrap Pile DT kit (am I sounding like a broken record yet).
Here's the LO I did for Aiden's 1st Birthday (which I had previously neglected to scrap). He's now nearly 3!
I wanted the LO to look simple, but had 5 photos I really wanted to include, so I decided to add some interactivity and hid some photos on the pull out tab and under the Magistical Memories present (which I loved BTW Mel!)

February update
Okay, yeah, I'm a slack blogger already! Been super busy lately, but here are my February layouts for Scrap Pile, as promised. Better late than never, hey! I loved the PP. It was absolutely stunning!
I also made some cards with the remaining paper for Jaki's PP card challenge. I really liked how they turned out. The PP was so lovely to work with too!
This is the LO I did with the second DT kit. I used grungeboard for the title, and it was great to work with!
We've been busy getting ready for the kids Baptism, which is tomorrow! Just having a small gathering with family and a couple of friends over for a BBQ after. Should be nice and relaxing!
