How's this for meeting in the middle?

Okay, so I took all your comments on board. Mel, I've made the square on the left side smaller. Donna, I've added the colourful graphic back in (on the left), cause I loved it too :) and I've also made the silhouette lighter as per your suggestion. Jaki, I think you'll love it now, since it's a bit of both! LOL!!! Well I think it looks much better for all your suggestions, so I just want to send you all a little something in the mail for helping me make my blog prettier!! YAY!!! I have your addresses Mel & Jaki, Donna would you mind PMing me yours. I'm not sure I have it?

More changes...

Yep, I've been playing again! Thanks for all your feedback on my previous design, however I feel it just wasn't me!

So, I went the complete opposite and created 2 minimalistic designs - with a lot less fuss and a hint of bright and fresh. Much more me :)

I'd love to hear which of the new designs you prefer or if you like the old one. You can vote over here -->

Complete overhaul

I've been dying to rename and re-template my blog for ages now, and for some reason, my creative juices flow better in the wee hours of the morning!

So, here it is... ta da... what do you think?? I'm still not sold on the colours, but would love to hear your feedback. I tried to make them easy on the eyes, as there's nothing worse than bright colours screaming out at you from a dark background.

I used the Always Enchanted digital scrap kit designed by Cinzia Loosemore, with a few little additions of my own, then skinned it in Blogger.

Just a quick share...

I've had a chance to get a couple of cards done this weekend, one for Jewls' Monthly Card Challenge over at Scrap-Pile... I loved this sketch Jewls!! Thanks for the challenge.

and this one's for Challenge #1 for the Clayton's Retreat over at LSS.

I've also finally finished the patterned paper for Maree, as a result of the PP Challenge that we started over 2 weeks ago now. I hope you like it Maree, and I hope you find inspiration for a layout in these to complete the challenge.

TOP LEFT - Painted then embossed AL stamps in gold.
TOP RIGHT - Painted a base cream colour, then painted giant bubblewrap in two tones and stamped, then chalked the edges.
BOTTOM LEFT - Painted a base cream colour, then used a piece of material Deb (Blurose) gave me as a RAK as a mask and painted over in the red colour, then chalked the edges.
BOTTOM RIGHT - This one is very textured, but difficult to see in this photo. I paint in a criss cross pattern with red paint, when dry, went over in a gold MM paint

Wanna have some fun over at Scrap-Pile?

A little while ago Maree suggested that we run a challenge to custom-design patterned paper... and Maree, I have to say, it was a long time in the making, but it's finally here! Check out our SUPER MINI CHALLENGE - Design your own patterned paper. I had heaps of fun designing a matching range of 3 papers and have done a few other examples which I'll post in the Scrap-Pile gallery shortly... but for now... here's a sneak peak at my 'playful' range... (PS I thought it would be a bit of fun to do it up all professional like the CHA previews)
