Circus

We do so many fun and cool things with playgroup and I honestly don't know what I'd do without them. We've pretty much met up every week since our big kids were babies (nearly 4 years), and have formed such a great support network and friendship along the way. They are all such gorgeous girls, and would jump up to help at any chance. I'm so grateful for their friendship and support.

Here's a few photos of the circus we went to see today at Garden City. The kids absolutely loved it, and were in awe of the cool things they were doing. I'm sure Erin was taking note of all the aerial performances for future reference around the house!! LOL! Aiden loved the clown, and his jokes and the performances too :)







I've been playing around with the settings on my cameras after managing to read about 2 pages of the 2peas photo tutorial... obviously I need to read more, but I did get some okay shots out of my little point and shoot on manual settings.

Madagascar

It was supposed to be a lovely morning out at the Madagascar show with playgroup this morning and instead I think I had the worst parenting experience --- I lost Aiden in the huge crowd of people there! I know they say you shouldn't panic in situations like that, but I swear I was near hyperventilating! One moment he was there, the next he wasn't. It all happened in the blink of an eye!

So I dumped Erin with Kylie and ran around madly in search of my lost little boy. OMG it was just terrible. Thankfully, a couple of minutes later (after scouring the entire crowd), I spotted one of the lovely ladies from Garden City carrying him. Tears pouring down his chubby little cheeks. I can't explain the relief I felt seeing him. I thought I'd lost him forever! Phew... what an experience. Needless to say, he didn't wander very far from my side for the rest of the show, which by the way was fantastic!!

Thanks Kylie for helping with Erin and for calming me down!! LOL! I sure did need it!

Our little baby is growing up!

We've been trying to toilet train Aiden for a number of weeks now, having some good days and some bad... Today, we finally had a breakthrough... he did his first #2 on the toilet! YAY! We were so excited. The first thing he said after he'd done it, was... "Now I can have the big chocolate Easter Egg" (which we'd promised him). On top of that he's worn undies to bed for the last 2 nights in a row, so we're very proud of our little man.

We went to the Carebears concert today at Garden City. This is Aiden's favourite smiling face at the moment...


Erin loved it too, bopping around. I had trouble keeping her in one place (as usual!)... so I was running around chasing her most of the time.


They both had a great time though and are sleeping well this arvo!
